About this tour

Swap the city for the mountains for a day. About an hour and a half from Tashkent, the Western Tian Shan rises above the turquoise Charvak reservoir. Ride the cable car at Amirsoy for wide views of the peaks, walk the meadows of Chimgan and stop by the lake on the way back. In winter it is snow and skiing; from spring to autumn — green slopes, fresh air and short walks.

How it works

Good to know

When is the best season?
All year. December to March is for snow and skiing; April to October is green, with walks and swimming in Charvak in the summer. Take a warm layer — it is cooler in the mountains than in Tashkent.
Is it hard walking?
No. The cable car does the climbing; the walks at the top are short and easy. You can stay longer or skip the walk — it is your day.
Can we add a horse ride or a picnic?
Yes. Horse rides and picnic spots are easy to arrange near Chimgan. Tell us when you book and we’ll plan the day around it.
Do I need my passport?
It is a good idea to carry your passport or a copy on any trip outside the city in Uzbekistan.
